It was a jam-packed weekend of hockey for Old Georgians, with some standout performances across both the Men's and Ladies' divisions.

Here's a breakdown of the key results and goalscorers from a thrilling round of fixtures:

Men's 1XI – Premier Division

Old Georgians 8-1 Southgate

The Men’s 1XI put on a show at St George's College, hammering Southgate with a dominant 8-1 victory. Sam Ward led the charge with a hat-trick, while Tom Carson netted two, and David Condon and Alan Forsyth added one each. A clinical display from the reigning champions, who are clearly setting the tone for the season ahead.

Men's 2XI – South East Men's Premier Division

Old Georgians 6-0 Canterbury 2

The 2XI were equally impressive, cruising to a 6-0 win over Canterbury 2. James Carson and Louie Holmes both scored twice, with Thabang Modise and Adam Franks also getting on the scoresheet, completing a dominant performance that keeps them in good form.

Men's 3XI – South East Men's Division 1 West

Mid Sussex 3-2 Old Georgians 3

It was a narrow defeat for the 3XI in a hard-fought contest against Mid Sussex. Despite goals from Jack Whitelock and Freddie Scott Gall, they couldn't claw back the deficit, falling just short in a 3-2 loss.

Men's 4XI – South East Men's Division 1 Oaks

Old Georgians 1-2 Sunbury & Walton Hawks 2

The 4XI also experienced a tough result, losing 2-1 to Sunbury & Walton Hawks. Alec Beer found the net for Old Georgians, but it wasn’t enough as they suffered a close defeat at home.

Men's Masters O40 Premier

Old Georgians Fire 1-0 Hampstead & Westminster Masters

A strong defensive effort helped Old Georgians Fire secure a 1-0 win over Hampstead & Westminster Masters, with Will Browne scoring the decisive goal.

Men's Masters O50 Premier

Southgate Titans 2-3 Old Georgians Phoenix

A dramatic 3-2 victory for Old Georgians Phoenix rounded off a strong weekend for the club. The Phoenix side battled hard to take home the points, showcasing their experience and resilience.

Ladies 1XI – Women's Conference East

Canterbury 1-2 Old Georgians

The Ladies 1XI picked up a fantastic 2-1 win away at Canterbury in a thrilling match. Goals from Leigh Maasdorp and Rosie Macpherson sealed the victory in what was a tightly contested fixture. A great result on the road as they look to build momentum.

Ladies 2XI – South East Women's Division 1 West

Old Georgians 2-3 Woking 2

Despite goals from Keira Satchel and Keri Warner, the Ladies 2XI fell 3-2 in a tight encounter with Woking. A close match that saw both sides fight hard, but OGs were edged out in the end.

Ladies 3XI – South East Women's Division 1 Oaks

Camberley & Farnborough 2-3 Old Georgians

A fantastic win for the Ladies 3XI as they triumphed 3-2 over Camberley & Farnborough. Goals from Amy Clarke, Les Tomlinson, and Becky Adrian secured the three points in what was an impressive performance.

Ladies 4XI – South East Women's Division 2 Oaks

Team Surrey Spartans 2-3 Old Georgians

The Ladies 4XI completed a hat-trick of victories for OG's women's teams, with TC scoring all three goals in their 3-2 win over Team Surrey Spartans. A thrilling game and a well-earned victory for the team.

Old Georgians delivered some fantastic results this weekend, with the Men's 1XI and Ladies 1XI leading the charge with commanding victories. It's been a strong start to the season, and the club will be looking to continue this momentum in the weeks ahead. Well done to all the teams involved!
